The list of Dr. Becker’s medical and scientific accomplishments will fill an encyclopedia. Visit this link (page will open in a new window) to read the introduction provided for patients at his plastic surgery practice in Boca Raton, Florida.

Perhaps the most important thing we can tell you about Dr. Becker from the perspective of this web community is that he truly cares. An incident dating back to 1997 prompted him to write a book titled: What are You Putting on Your Skin? – A Plastic Surgeon’s Perspective on Skin Care Products and Cosmetic Ingredients.

A patient had come in for a routine chemical peel procedure and was recovering beautifully. Feeling marvelous and looking 10 years younger, she spent a day at the mall and came home with an expensive skin cream sold at the most exclusive department store in Boca Raton.  Dr. Becker was shocked when she made an emergency appointment having had developed a furious rash.  He promptly told her to throw the skin cream away.

Happily his patient recovered without complications, but her story inspired him to develop a simple line of pure products sold from his plastic surgery office.  The success of the products brought unwelcome attention from entrepreneurs asking him to endorse skin care formulas containing the ingredients that were making some of his colleagues fabulously wealthy. He rejected the offers with an assertive recitation of the Hippocratic Oath: a doctor should do no harm.

Enjoy this web community. Ask all the questions you want. Spread the word. Recklessness in skin care product manufacturing will no longer be tolerated.
